The Escapade cargo trailer has earned its reputation as a well-engineered, well-built
motorcycle trailer that pulls as good as it looks.
All Escapade trailers share features that
make them favored by so many riders.
Unique integrated chassis design—trailer body and frame are molded together for lower center of
gravity, increased rigidity and smoother airflow.
Shocks designed by Progressive suspension—a special damping cartridge offers superior damping, even when
the trailer is towed empty.
Larger than average wheels—increased width makes more contact with the road and
larger wheel diameter creates larger gyroscopic effect which help eliminate swaying tendencies.
Tires are also standard size 4.80 x 12" wheels that can be easily replaced.
Escapade trailer bodies are hand-made and custom finished at the factory. Each trailer body is painted with top-of-the-line
urethane paints and clear coats with a 2-3 part paint process and 3 clear coats. For GL-1800 colors, Escapade uses the exact
same paints and clears supplied to Honda.
All Escapade trailers exceed the lighting requirements set by the U.S. Dept of Transportation. All lighting is connected
to the bike's power supply. An optional spoiler with integrated brake light offers even greater visibility.
Great engineering is matched by great styling. Escapade was the first to introduce model-specific trailers with
build lines and features designed with one specific motorcycle in mind, yet maintaining a look that complements
any bike. Following the debut of the redesigned Gold Wing in 2001, Escapade introduced the Elite, a motorcycle trailer
that perfectly matches the lines of the GL-1800.
