Electrical Accessory Installation
I understand that adding electrically-powered gear to your bike can be intimidating. If you aren't familiar with the right procedures for tapping into a bike's wiring and electrical systems it can be intimidating. I install a range of electrically-powered accessories including motorcycle trailer wiring kits, lighted accessories, auxiliary lights, power outlets and more. Bring me your stuff and I'll put it on for you!
Credentials
I have years of hands-on experience with wiring systems including the design and fabrication of an all-electric conversion of the 1993 Honda Hurricane. Past experience includes performing trike conversions on Harleys and Gold Wings. I've written extensively about motorcycle accessories and installation techniques including a best-selling book published by Whitehorse Press entitled The Essential Guide to Motorcycle Travel.
Location
All services are performed same-day in my garage in Herndon, VA. Contact me to schedule your visit.
Rates $75 per hour, billed in half hour increments. A typical hitch installation is 2 to 2.5 hours. Trailer wiring is about 1 to 1.5 hours.
